The Bad Bean Taqueria, located in Corolla, Outer Banks was inspired by the many taquerias that are scattered along the Pacific Coast from Northern California to the tip of Baja.

Our goal is to provide fresh, simple ingredients prepared from scratch using authentic flavors and techniques that define true Mexican cuisine. We use dried Mexican peppers such as Gaujillos, Pasillas, Ancho, Chipotles as well as a variety of fresh peppers and spices that add just the right punch of flavor. Be sure to try the Bad Bean fresh fish tacos using local Mahi-Mahi pan seared, topped with Yucatan jicima slaw, and drizzled with our housemade Habanero “Shocker” Sauce. For guacamole lovers it’s the real deal- no fillers, just flavor!!! Our chips are hand cut from yellow corn tortillas and fried fresh daily.  Choose from four delicious house salsas to dip your chips or top your favorite taco.  Our burritos which are wrapped in a huge 14-inch tortilla shell will conquer the heartiest of appetites. The Bad Bean serves a large selection of Mexican beer and don't miss the BAD BEAN MARGARITA...made with our own house-blended mix.
